Why Othello can be extremely exciting? Because each game can be lost or won in the last few moves, or even in the last move. One last decision can affect the final outcome. Therefore in Othello, endgame strategy is more than “finalizing the gained advantage”. Skillful playing in endings is extremely important.

Wiecie dlaczego Othello może dostarczyć sporo emocji? Bo partia może się rozstrzygnąć w ostatnich kilku ruchach, albo nawet w jednym ostatnim ruchu. Dosłownie jedna ostatnia decyzja może zaważyć na tym, czy wygrasz czy przegrasz. Dlatego teoria gry końcowej nie jest jedynie teorią “finalizacji przewagi” zdobytej wcześniej. Game of othello becomes increasingly popular, but many people know this game as “reversi“. Even in some Wikipedia posts you can read that reversi is another name of othello. In fact, they are two different games. Both played on 8×8 board with two-color discs, but details are different.

W rzeczywistości są to dwie inne gry. W obu gra się na planszy 8×8 przy pomocy pionów, które odwraca się w czasie gry, ale szczegóły są inne.
Chciałbym was zapoznać z zasadami tych dwóch różnych gier. Chciałbym żebyście dostrzegali różnice i umieli odróżnić reversi od othello.
